RUTLAND, VT — U.S. Senator Peter Welch (D-Vt.) today hosted a ‘Common Grounds with Senator Welch’ listening session at Hub CoWorks in Rutland. Vermonters joined Senator Welch for a discussion about how Washington can work better for the Green Mountain State.
“The future of our democracy is a jump ball right now—we have a president who speaks and acts unilaterally without any concern about how his policies will hurt working families. This administration has decimated access to health care, driven up costs of everyday essentials and gas, and made it tougher for hardworking Americans to make ends meet. We need to focus and solve practical affordability issues that will make a real difference in the lives of working people,” said Senator Welch. “I won’t lose sight of that goal in Washington and will continue working hard to deliver actual results for Vermonters.”
