BETHEL, VT – Today, U.S. Senator Peter Welch (D-Vt.) hosted a ‘Common Grounds with Senator Welch’ listening session at the Bethel Village Sandwich Shop. Senator Welch joined local leaders and community members to discuss how Washington can work better for Windsor County families, businesses, and farmers.
“The best ideas come from Vermonters, and I’m always thankful to hear directly from folks about how Congress can better serve them—whether that’s the need to lower the cost of health care and fix our broken health insurance system, standing up to President Trump’s abuses of executive power, or getting dark money out of politics,” said Senator Welch. “I’ll always fight for Vermont families and appreciated the opportunity to speak with, and listen to, Vermonters in Windsor County. There was real sense of community in the Bethel Village Sandwich Shop today, and that’s because people worked together to find common ground on issues that matter most to them.”
