BURLINGTON, VT – U.S. Senator Peter Welch (D-Vt.) celebrates Vermont’s Team USA athletes — Ryan Cochran-Siegle, Mac Forehand, Paula Moltzan, Ben Ogden, and Jack Young — ahead of Friday’s opening ceremony for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games. Cochran-Siegle, Forehand, Moltzan, Ogden, and Young will compete in the winter Olympic Games, which begin tomorrow in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, and conclude February 22, 2026. The Paralympic Games will begin March 6, 2026, and conclude March 15, 2026.
“The Green Mountain State has a long tradition of excellence in the Winter Olympics. This year, Ryan, Mac, Paula, Ben, Jack, and all other athletes with Vermont ties will carry that legacy forward with grit and talent. Representing both Vermont and Team USA is no small feat—their journey to Italy is an achievement that only comes from years of hard work and dedicated training.
